The never ending laundry chore

So, school has been cancelled a lot recently due to all of the snow. This caused a major pile up of laundry. With six of us...I mean MAJOR. Finally, I got it under control. On the right, you see the piles of the younger two boys clothes ready to be put away. Well, sweet Nathan decided that today was the day he would climb in the dresser and create the pile of clothes you see there on the floor. Yes, I thought I got it under control. Laugh now, or forever hold your peace.

And so, the Missouri Blizzard of 2011 - the first time in history the city of Joplin has EVER called a State of Emergency - has wreaked havoc on the laundry room here also. The dryer is on the fritz - no heat. So, try to find a repair man willing to come out, or even a store open that sells the replacement part. Oh, and wait, the washer decided it was time to make a loud squeaking sound and fly out of balance with every non-dryable load. Uh-huh. Damp...no...wet...snow clothes lying all over the floor. Dirty underwear and socks, and not an open laundromat in sight. I feel your pain. Although children are fewer, possibly less ornery, and a bit older in these here parts, we sympathize with your laundry dilemma. When the snow melts, the handyman cometh and the kids go back to school. When the laundry room is again up and running, I am sure my complaining will continue. I will just be hoping the socks and underwear will be washing themselves by then. THANKS FOR THE BLOG. Haven't done this before - we shall see...
