The Reason....

Well, hello! Welcome to my little blog.

Wondering why I decided to delve into the blogging world?
(besides having a way to tell my husband about my day before passing out on the couch)

I love blogs. These days, I tend to seek out blogs belonging to mothers of children my kids ages, in the hopes of finding some great activities, advice, humor, ect. I have learned a great deal while reading these blogs. Such as, How to make home made playdough
How to paint with ice

Freezer paper transferring

How to raise chickens

How great an outdoor wood stove is

How I can get off the grid

How couponing has become a sport

That's all well and good, except,

My 22 month old still eats playdough

My 22 month old will suck on the ice

What am I transferring?

Chickens are great, until it's cold and freezing outside

We're renters

I'm really dreaming now

Coupons? I'm lucky I can remember to buy the Sunday paper!

Also, a lot of these blogs just seem too perfect! The perfect moments, captured on film. Where is the spilled popcorn during a church get together? (See above).

Is my child the only 22 month old out there that still eats everything? What do real stay-at-home moms do to fill their day?

I was searching to find the answers, but all I could come up with was a load of really great ideas that I couldn't do anything with! Sort of like when I was pregnant and dreaming of a wonderful, spiritual home birth...knowing full well that with Strep-B that would be impossible!

Can you relate? Always reading, searching for something that really, well, is probably unattainable? My life isn't perfect. All I can do is try. Taking it day by day, experience by experience, doing the best I can.

That's what this blog is about..an Imperfect Life.

Welcome to blogland!!! You're going to love it here. :) It's such a fun way to share what's on your mind. I admire your honesty and courage in letting us into your "imperfect life" - although I can't relate, unfortunately. My life is a perfect balance of making homemade playdough, feeding my free-range chickens, and transferring freezer paper (what on earth??). HA!!

So, what do you think?
